pyg-pirateI am the laughing pygmy to many folks in cyberspace... I am the founder of pygmy island and a huge survivor fan.

My goal is to play the game before the show goes off into the sunset ....

I want to play.

I love the concept of being stranded on a desert Island or a strange unknown place... This was one of my favorite games to play as a kid, I would pretend that I was dropped off on a totally new world and I would be the first human to see the sights, smell the air and explore the surroundings.
I am a strange person in that I try to ":feel" every experience, I remember after being divorced... I wanted to just enjoy being miserable ... because this was a new experience and I wanted to "feel" what it was like to be divorced ... good or bad, happy or sad ... life is a combination of experiences and challenges. I would love to add the experience of "survivor" to my book of Life ... and even better, I would love to "feel" what it is like to be a millionare... Hahahahahah

Pygmy tunes (stay happy)



Back in March of 2004 I read that SEG monitored the "Survivor Sucks" Ezboard, I had been reading (lurking) for about 6 months and I had read that posting on the forum boards was bad for your chances of getting picked.. but then it hit me.
If SEG is monitoring the boards, then Hell... I WANT to get noticed.
so I set off the next morning to try to decide on an avatar .. I wanted a simple drawing which could be drawn in 5 minutes (it was) and I wanted it to be memorable.

Well, I was reading Mark Burnetts book "Dare to Succeed" when I came upon a chapter where Mark was participating in one of the "Raids" or "Eco-Challenges" or a similar competition.. when the weather started getting rough.. so he and his team members decided to pull the canoe to shore to wait out the storm.

Well as they were pulling the canoe to shore.. they were greeted by a bunch of pygmies...
ANGRY PYGMIES!
And Mark Burnett made a comedic gesture by putting his finger on the tip of the spear that was pointed at him and feigned that it was hurting him.

The Pygmy Laughed.

Since I always use humor to combat all situations and since I did a similar trick when being held up at gunpoint... I decided that
The Laughing Pygmy was to be my avatar...

6 weeks later I shared it with SEG and the pygmy dance was born!

Please,inform these Survivor wanna be's what pygmy island is! I have been asked..on the Gabon Wki! and expain about Randy and susie,maybe give the link to your island.

Also,it didn't hurt them on getting picked,by being members!
