Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Colby Donaldson
Survivor: The Australian Outback

"DUMB" MOVE:
With a guaranteed position in the Final 2, after winning Final Immunity, with the power to choose who he went to the Final Tribal Council with, Tina, the likeable underdog mother, or Keith, the man who grated on a lot of people's nerves, Colby chose to go head-to-head with Tina and voted out Keith!

Colby ended up losing to Tina, knowing very well that if he had taken Keith, instead, he would've won the $1 million, no contest.

Ozzy Lusth
Survivor: Micronesia
Fans vs. Favorites

"DUMB" MOVE:
Knowing full-well that his past reputation in the Cook Islands made him a threat, with a huge target on his back, Ozzy had the perfect chance to play the Hidden Immunity Idol to save himself.

Instead, feeling overly confident in his allies, he was blindsided. And a full-proof Immunity Idol was put to waste.

Survivor: Micronesia

"DUMB" MOVE:
Though Amanda can hardly be seen as a "dumb" contestant, considering she made it to the finals in both of her back-to-back seasons, she's in the category due to her inability to have a strong end-game.

With near-flawless gameplay throughout, Amanda fumbled through both of her Final Tribal Councils, being unable to give solid answers and her unwillingness to "own up" to her game.

Erik Reichenbach
Survivor: Micronesia
Fans vs. Favorites

"DUMB" MOVE:
Officially dubbed as the "Dumbest Move in Survivor History." For some back story on this one, Erik was the last man standing in a tribe full of women who were obviously scheming together.

Erik was playing smart, winning back-to-back immunity challenges, saving himself from the wrath of the remaining women, until Natalie Bolton convinced him to give up his immunity and save her (playing the "Save your fellow Fan" card)

In the ultimate shocker, Erik gave up his immunity necklace, naively thinking he was safe with the women. The female domination continued, and they took him out faster than you can say "IMMUNITY!"

James Clement
Survivor: China

"DUMB" MOVE:
James managed to hit-off the craze of "dumb moves" with this fiasco in Survivor: China.

An obvious physical threat, James from the get-go had a major target painted on his back. Seeing this as well, James' alliance members, Todd and Amanda, assisted him in finding a Hidden Immunity Idol (both on Fei Long camp and on Zhan Hu camp) which would hopefully keep him safe for the duration. (In total, he had 2 idols)

At the Final 7 TC, still with 2 idols in his back pocket, James still felt safe and refused to play one. Little did he know, Amanda and Todd, pulled one over on him and blindsided him. 2 game-saving idols flushed and gone to waste!

Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Jason Siska
Survivor: Micronesia
Fans vs. Favorites

"DUMB" MOVE:
Jason is widely, infamously noted for making two dumb moves during his time in Micronesia.

1. After being sent to Exile Island, he found a fake idol (that Ozzy had wittled together, after finding the real one), made simply of a small piece of driftwood with a smiley face carved in it. Funny thing was, Jason was 100% convinced it was real.

2. After watching his Survivor Idol (Ozzy) get blindsided at the previous Tribal Council with an idol in possession, Jason found the real, rehidden idol. He seemed to be in a good position.

Sad thing is, he made the same mistake as Ozzy, trusting the women and getting blindsided with a full-proof idol in his back pocket.

Sean Kenniff
Survivor: Borneo
Pulau Tiga

"DUMB" MOVE:
Arguably the first ever "dumb" move of Survivor, apparently just simply not knowing how make decisions on his own or not knowing how to play the game, Dr. Sean adopted a Tribal Council voting strategy of just voting in ALPHABETICAL ORDER. The lame thing about this strategy was that he was basically being used as a puppet; an extra vote for those who knew which letter came next.

Let's just say if you were on this season and your name is AARON, you better pray that you win immunity!
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Billy Garcia
Survivor: Cook Islands

"DUMB" MOVE:
Whether you want to call it a "dumb move" or delusional, this move of Billy's was just plain, weird.
After losing the 2nd Immunity Challenge, after Ozzy made it obviously clear that his tribe was throwing it, Billy knew he was a goner and you could see the sadness in his eyes.

Throwing out a sign of just feeling sorry for Billy (that his tribe was against him), Candice Woodcock replied, "We love you." But, Billy taking the comment literally actually thought Candice genuinely loved him, and said back to her,
"I LOVE YOU."

That night at Tribal Council, Billy announced that he had fallen in-love with Candice, to a stunned Jeff Probst and his tribe who just laughed at him. He ended up getting voted out that night, 4-1.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Andria "Dreamz" Herd
Survivor: Fiji

"DUMB" MOVE:
After being given a car from Yau-Man, in exchange for his word to hand-over immunity to Yau at Final 4, the time had come to hold the end of his deal. It was Final 4 Tribal Council, Dreamz had won immunity, and the moment came when Jeff asked if Dreamz wanted to hand immunity to someone else....

Dreamz reneged on his deal, kept the immunity to himself, kept the car without a guilty conscience.

But little did he know that this decision would come back to haunt him at the Final Tribal Coucil. The jury grilled and bashed him for his selfish move, and in the end Dreamz received not one single vote from the jury.

A "dumb move" and one of Survivor's most controversial yet.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Denise Martin
Survivor: China

"DUMB" MOVE:
Denise's move is unique due to the fact that it didn't play out during the season, but rather post-show, during the Finale Reunion.

Being a Lunch Lady, throughout the season you couldn't help but pull for Denise. She genuinely needed the money. Unfortunately, Denise was voted out, coming so close, in 4th position.

But in an underhanded move on the Reunion show (hosted by Probst), seemingly aware of what she was doing, she told Jeff a fabricated sob story about how she was demoted to a janitor (due to her "overwhelming recognizability"). Truly feeling for Denise, Executive Producer Mark Burnett rewarded her a cash prize to help out her situation.

The next day, however, the "jig was up" and Denise's lie was exposed. Denise admitted to it all, and gave back the rewarded cash prize, truly sorry for what she had done.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Rafe Judkins
Survivor: Guatemala

"DUMB" MOVE:
With a long-lasting alliance with Stephenie throughout the season and an undercover Final 2 agreement with Danni, going into the Final 3 Immunity Challenge, Rafe had a 100% guaranteed spot in the Final 2, no matter who won.

Danni Boatwright won that Final Immunity Challenge and was all set to take Rafe to the finals with her. But no..it wasn't as simple as that.
After seeing the pure agony of defeat on Stephenie's face, Rafe decided to go up to Danni and told her that she was released from any promises/agreements they made with each other.

And because of this move, Danni had time to think about it and instead decided to take Stephenie to the finals. Rafe was voted out, knowing that if he made it to the finals he very well may have won.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Ian Rosenberger
Survivor: Palau

"DUMB" MOVE:
Though you can argue that Ian's move was more on the righteous side, rather than 'dumb,' it can still be considered due to the fact that Ian was sooo close to the Final 2.

Leading up to the Final Immunity Challenge, where the move took place, Ian had burned some bridges with alliance members Tom and Katie. Throughout most of the game, Ian played a rather clean game, staying true to his alliances. But it was the endgame where he started to play a little dirtier, making undercover deals against his allies.

At the Final 4, Jenn (in an effort to save herself) exposed Ian for trying to get rid of his closest ally, Tom. So, at the Final 3 Immunity Challenge, with a heavy heart and guilty conscience, Ian handed the Immunity Challenge to Tom and asked to be voted off, in exchange for Tom's friendship and respect back.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Silas Gaither
(and the Generation X Alliance)
Survivor: Africa

"DUMB" MOVE:
Silas' "dumb move" originates simply because it seemed like he didn't have any concept of how to work effectively as a tribe.

From the get-go Silas (and all the other young members of the Samburu tribe) formed a group clique, instantly alienating the four other, older members of the tribe. Complete with matching bead necklaces and their openness to let the elders know that they were first on the chopping block, this alliance coined as "Generation X," were smug as smug can be, thinking they had the whole game wrapped up.

But when a fateful twist mixed up the tribes, Silas was switched over to Boran with Theresa and Frank (two of the older original Samburu members), and realization hit that maybe he should have tried a little harder to stay in their good graces.

With a second chance for their survival on a new tribe, Theresa and Frank, banded together with the Boran members and voted off Silas. In Silas' case, karma came back around.
Dumbest Survivors Ever - Survivor
Burton Roberts
Survivor: Pearl Islands

"DUMB" MOVE:
If you want the summarized version, all you need to know is:

"If you're an obvious physical threat, NEVER throw an Immunity Challenge!"

Physically strong and an ultimately, diplomatic and all-around strong social competitor, Burton must've missed the memo about going to Tribal Council = no good.

In Episode 4, Burton devised a "smart" plan to throw the immunity challenge, in order to get rid of weak links in the Drake Tribe. Everything was going according to plan; they lost the challenge and they were headed to Tribal Council.

But things took a sudden twist, when word got out on Burton's scheme. Mutiny on Drake went into effect and Burton's plan backfired. He was blindsided, at the hands of his own 'genius' plan.
