The Final immunity challange that lasted 11 hours ,55 minutes ,and ended with him making a deal with Tom to take Katie to the final two.The longest endurance challenge still...in Survivor history.

What we want to forget:

His Guilty conscience for all his "wrong doings"

Stepping down to repair his friendship with Tom.

Stepping down to let Katie and Tom go to the final two.

Ian Get's Involved :

On April 15th 2006,Ian participated in the The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town, South Africa to help raise aids awareness for Survivor Africa's winner..Ethan Zohn's Grassroot Soccer program and currently ran in the NYC Marathon on Nov 1,2009,where he helped raise funds for Grassroot Soccer.

Ian was the returning master of ceremonies for the 15 annual Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards on May 20,2009.

Interesting facts:

Ian was a Mancini Award winner as a student at Quigley High in 1999, is a Certified Lifeguard ,and Scuba Diver,he can surf, play the guitar,He was a member of the Essence of Joy choir ,while at Penn State....he sings, served as a teacher's assistant ,is an Eagle scout,has been in the boy scouts,since he was 6 years old,applied for The Amazing Race before he was chosen for Survivor,taught white water rafting , has written articles and speeches for many things....MTV,USA Today,CNN,Washington Post, New York Times,and he has a great sense of humor . He played Peter in the musical production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Ian is featured in The book Spirit Of Adventure:Eagles Scouts And The Making Of America's Future...May 2009

Ian helps people in need:

Jan 23,2009 Ian helped give back to Thon 2009 by helping out at the First Annual Hope Gala ... raises money for the kids.The gala supports fundraising efforts on behalf of The Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) and The Four Diamonds Fund. Ian was on the Committee Chair...Auction/Sponsorship

May 1st,2008 The Caring Hand fundraising gala *Reality Cares*in NYC benefiting bereaved families and children ,awards were given to families that have lost a loved one as a child.

Ian has volunteered his time to help out others,since his time on Survivor.He helped Ethan Zohn's (Survivor Africa's winner) Grassroots Soccer program to raise money for kids in Africa and aids awareness.This event was on April 21,2007 in Brimingham,Al. He helped out with this same charity in 2006 .

Ian helped to raise money for Mercy Hospital Burn Unit . His appearance was part of Fire Drill Days, an annual series of charity events . Ian sang Cecilia and Lean On Me on stage .


Ian was the keynote speaker in March 2006 for the Harry E. Mangle Memorial Dinner. The event was held in downtown Johnstown, P. A.

The fund-raiser benefited Penn’s Woods Council, Boy Scouts of America, and honored Johnstown Mayor Don Zucco with the 2006 Distinguished Citizen Award.


He volunteered his time as part of the charity drive, Aluminum Cans for Burned Children ,and visits children in the hospital...the children are the real survivors.



Helps Brandin from NY to become the Homecoming King of his school on MTV'S "MADE".
