I'm a new media development freelancer as well as a survivor fan, so a few ideas that I have lean more towards continuity.
Standardize posts and editing abilities. Alot of times I notice that some pages get ou of whack, and people move other people's posts around and all manner of inconsistent "looks" from page to page. Maybe limiting editing capabilities to no html simple tex could help that. Also remove layout functions from the wysiwyg toolbar to remove table modification and just have simple formatting tools (bold, italic, etc) and have it all based on a stylesheet with classes rather than complete control to all levels of registered users.
Make all content require moderator approval prior to publishing it live. This will help mainain design continuity and encourage a more standardized and user friendly content.
Thanks,
Big Daddy
