I am a big fan of Survivor and as many viewers. I am very disappointed as a producer to award Denise with $$$ because of her so called sad story. I agreed with Courtney this is a SURVIVOR GAME and you are here to win and it is not a charity. We all have to work hard to get what we want and need, so if you are not happy or can not feed your family on a $7.00/hr salary...how about try to apply yourself and go back to school and get a better paying job. I am a professional working woman who came to this country without knowing how to speak a single word of English, but I knew what is important to me and my family, so I work hard and overcome many obstacles in life. I would never want anyone to treat me as a charity case. So Denise if, cleaning toilet is beneath U, then find a different job. I don't understand... You surely can expect to make $100,000/ annually without a college degree. Anyway, I think most of us would love the opportunity to work at job where you can take off more than 6 weeks to be on Survivor Show. Real Life (Employers would not be so understanding)It is sad to know that the producer of the show would fall for her story.........Give me a break!!!

Has anyone gone to the Douglas school home page? (The school Denise works for) According to them this sob story was completly made up and the job as a Custodian was obtained before she left for the show, It also states that this position was a promotion to Full time and a better wage! So who is playing the game? Douglas.k12.ma.us check it out this is pretty interesting!

Harsh! Now do you think that they would just give $ without checking out the story-perhaps the School has some issues with her-personally. Wow, I shocked that someone could judge others so harsly. Sob story, do judge until you walk a mile in her shoes. Perhaps now with the oportunity she can go to school and better herself. I personally with her lots of happiness and good fortune. 8 out of 11 found this valuable. Do you? |

My dear why the dissapointment? It was not your money! If you came here from another country you most likely took advantage of goverment grants, Did you have children to care for? My point is you should look at it as a charitible kind act. We true Americans perfer to help somone rather than kick them when there down. But then I am sure you are aware of Americans kindness, that is why you left your country to come here!!!

Look i do have compassion for others, I have struggled to get where i am at today and if this information is true, which I never said it was; i just brought it to the table. I would be dissapointed, for all this to come out of deceit, she munipulated others into treating her like a charity case which is not a good quality in anybody and for those of us who really helped ourselves in life it is a kick in the face. I do not see why a Superintendant of schools would go on record and call Denise out unless they had documentation to back it up. Have you ever heard of "slander"? I'm sure the superintendant enjoys her money a little more than that. I've learned in life to not always stick to one side of the story so for Denise I hope that this is false or twisted otherwise i have no use for a person like that. REALITY IS HARSH!

It's a Game..... Did you know she is not telling the truth about the job. See Joetruth's finding.I am not heartless... I love helping people to get back on their feet if they honestly went thru a hard time. Can you tell me how many employers would be so understanding to let you take a leave of absence for 6 weeks! In addition, she knows that risk of beign on show. We all have to work at a job that don't pay much, but we don't cry about it....... What about her husband? Is he working? You can not go on the show competed and Cried about it when you are not the winner! She is playing the viewers by telling her sob story to get money. Is it fair to other players. Maybe the survivor game should be about whom has the sobbest story win the million. 3 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

Please don't acuse someone when you don't know anything about that person. That is correct I was not born in this country. I Father was a solier fight in the war and my family came here to escape for the Communist. We don't have goverment grant. My father has a lot of pride and work in the factory to provide his children with food and clothing. We all work hard and get part time job as soon as we old enough to do so. We delivered newspaper, sloving snow, cut grass to earn money for school. Our friends spent the summer months playing in the park, going to summer homes. We worked........

Thanks Joetruth. We all are compassion people and always willing to help others that is less fortune. But again, this is a GAME. You are here to compete and may the best man/woman win. Yes, we all have a tough life... but at the end of day we thanks God for being a live. 4 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yes,I agree these reality TV people do indeed do what it takes to get ahead and it is a game, but in this case she involved other people, "someone seemingly who just gave her a promotion" for what? to make her "character" all that much better. I would like to have seen the fallout that school department took on Monday, the calls they probably took because of her alleged deception. Oh who cares right lets just huddle up and give her a big hug because she was smart enough to play the game to the end and involve other people who did not sign on to be part of the show, people who decided they would give her six weeks off and still have her job, the same job she left as a custodian. The full time job not her previous part time Lunch Lady job but a full time custodial making more money at least that is what i get from reading that release and listening to her on the show, it seems the only beef she has with the position is working 2nd or 3rd shift whatever it may be, if you listen to her closely when she is begging for someone looking for a lunch lady job she emphasizes "DAYS" . I would like all of you that feel so sorry for her to speak with a custodian that works for a school department, you will find out that most of them make pretty good wages and are part of some union that provide pretty good benefits. So they are not just some low lifes that clean toilets and mop floors, they are decent people who worked their butts off to get where they are, just to only have ding dongs like Denise degrad them to make her story all that juicier. Yeah lets huddle up and give her a big hug because that's the type of person i want my children to become. Look i'm all about compassion just not at others expense, and i'm pretty sure she has had alot of second chances.

OMG Ya all need to get a life outside of Survivor. WHO CARES if she is serving CRAP or cleaning CRAP. She is definately not living in luxury, she seemed very decent and honest throughout the show so I find it hard to believe that she would flat out lie about her situation at work. But again WHO really cares if she is cleaning CRAP or serving Crap, I wish her the best!

Ok here is the thing, I don't really believe Denise was trying to come off as a sob story. Her only thing was before she was offered to be on Sept. show, she did indeed change her job from Lunch lady to custodian, but what she was trying to say is that she really wishes that she could get back the lunch lady position so she could see her children and husband more. Since the kids are out of school at two and she is there at school from 2-10. She wasn't looking for them to give her any money. Believe me she is a hard working lady. She has three little girls to take care of. Also a husband that works his ass off too. They were both there not looking for money but looking for a ending to a good show. Denise made it to 4th and that is what she was most proud of. She wasn't looking for anything. Did she lie...yes, but I don't believe she meant it to go that far. She for myself knowing her...I think that she needed to rephrase here wording. It might have saved her ass on all the publicity that is coming from it now. Everyone needs to just leave her alone. She has enough to deal with.

Sounds like you know Denise personally. I hope all these negativities from this site does not hurt her. She seems a sweet lady, and there is always somebody looking to trash others. Tell her to take no heed. There are many who love her...............and wish her life's best.
