Mar 13 2008, 6:57 PM EDT There are 2 reasons I love watching Survivor. One is the challenges. They are interesting, exhausting challenges that they put the weary contestants through each week. It's great to see the contestants throw themelves into it (or not) and really gets the adrenaline going. The people who imagine the endless array of challenges through all of the seasons deserve a reward of their own! The second reason, the main reason, is for the host: Jeff Probst. This show is nothing without a great host. Jeff exudes control, class, and a wry sense of humor. He clues the teams in some subtle ways (which most times they don't comprehend until it's too late), and keeps them focused. If ever there was an opportunity to meet him, I would jump at it. People with his type of personality, his ambition, and his heart, don't come along very often in a lifetime. He has a very kind soul, one born of integrity and compassion. I applaud his dedication to the causes (charities) he champions. He deserves every bit of happiness that comes his way; I am very happy he found a soul mate in Julie. Mar 25 2008, 2:23 PM EDT You Betch Ya! I can't imagine the show with any other host! Just wouldn't be right. I love the way he seems to try to stir the pot sometimes during "Tribal"! Hope he stays & hope "Survivor" stays! My (4) kids are all but out of the nest so it's my turn now & I am going to try and apply. My first attempt was #17 but I'm sure that is already cast. So if it ever does happen (ha, ha, too funny for me), I would want it to be Jeff. He is so professional & neutral & I hope whoever cast him got a HUGE bonus!!! Do you find this valuable? |
