She did not make her tribe look bad. She has a strong belief and even though she saw it as a religious cermony it looked like one to me, A temple full of their god budda, bowing on knee as in worship, and hands in the prayer position. looked like a worship to me. There are other ways to welcome strangers to your country its been shown in other survivors. Unlike the young lady from New York who seem like she didnt care one bit wasnt even try to show respect and would rather go lay down or eat. To take a stand takes courage and strength. 8  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree. If you have strong convictions of a religious nature, then this ceremony would not go down easy for you to participate in. she probably should have just stayed on the sidelines and been a passive observer of the ceremony rather than leaving. In any case she was being true to her own beliefs. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Leslie was being true to her faith. No matter how Survivor tried to sugar coat the ceremony it was based on Buddist worship. It was disrespectful of Survivor to try and persuade someone they knew had a strong belief to participate in the ceremony. It should have been explained to Leslie and they should have given her a chance to stay back from the ceremony. But to tell everyone it was not worship was a line of crap. They knew exactly what they were doing which is why the whole non worship speech was done in the first place. They got the drama they were hoping for. I say "Good for you Leslie! I wouldn't have done it either. Not even for a million dollars." Do you find this valuable?
